Early Learning Group

Early Learning Group at St Anthony’s

Early Learning is a supported 'play group' environment, in which children are provided with open ended learning experiences, allowing them to explore and learn through play, supported by their parent/caregiver.

Early Learning Group is a play based program which focuses on learning through exploration, igniting the wonder and curiosity in your child. These learning experiences are designed to enable children to interpret, engage and explore on a personal level – allowing them to be ‘in control’ of their learning. This in turn allows them to see themselves as successful learners.

Each child has the right to develop a love for learning. The children are given opportunities to learn through play and view the world from their eyes. Play allows children to explore and discover at a pace that is natural and not hurried. Through play, children experience turn taking, opportunities to negotiate, share their thinking and explore each other’s sense of humour. Children develop a sense of fun in their learning and discover many, many opportunities to build respectful relationships.

The Early Learning Program is offered every Wednesday 9 to 10:30 am and is designed for children from birth to 5 years. The cost of Early Learning is $5 per session.

ALL families from within the community are welcome to attend.
