There a number of ways in which you, as a parent, can be involved within your child's school community.
School Board: A member of the school staff serves as the representative on the School Board and elected each year at the first staff meeting. Where possible, the term of service is two years with an option to serve again for a maximum of two serving terms in a row.
Parents & Friends: All parents in the school are members of this organisation. The association has a number of roles in the school, including community building, social activities, parent education, hospitality and fundraising. The committee meets each month at 9am and the Principal attends the meetings.
Grounds & Maintenance: The Grounds and Maintenance Committee consists of the Principal, the Grounds Caretaker, the Grounds and Maintenance Officer, and parent volunteers. Together, this group continues to build upon the beatification of the school.
Volunteers: for anyone who wishes to volunteer their time at St Anthony's or wishes to take part in anything at all - listening to reading, accompanying an excursion, help with cooking - all volunteers are subject to a DCSI clearance from the Department for Communities Social Inclusions. If you are unsure if you have a police check please come and check with the school.
All volunteers in our school community sign a declaration to promise they will not divulge private information about a student. We treat the privacy of individuals very seriously.
