It is important that communication between home and school is continual, respectful and honest. Please ensure you keep strong communication links with your child’s class teacher and the staff in the front office. We will endeavour to do the same.
School Stream App
All ‘whole school’ information is communicated via School Stream, a free app for your mobile device available for download via the ‘App’ Store. On School Stream you will find the fortnightly newsletter, St Anthony’s school calendar, electronic consent forms, and important reminders.
As a paperless school, the school newsletter is sent via School Stream. The newsletter is distributed fortnightly (even weeks). It is an important form of communication which you are expected to read, containing news from the Principal, APRIM, Parents and Friends, and school community.
A preferred way to contact staff is via email. Staff check their emails before and after school. Each staff member’s email address is: first four letters of their surname and the first letter of their first name @sta.catholic.edu.au (eg Suzanne Budd is firstname.lastname@example.org).
If your child is going to be absent from school you must notify the school office as well as the class teacher. To notify the office, please use the School Stream App. Open School Stream, select ‘contact’ followed by ‘text’. In the message include the child’s name and reason for absence. To notify the class teacher please use SeeSaw to send them a message, or write a note in your child’s/children’s diary. For absences longer than 3 days, a form must be completed and is available from the front office.
If a student is absent from the school and the reason is unknown, a text will be sent to the parent’s mobile. Your reply will be sent back to the school. Please ensure we have your correct mobile numbers.
The school calendar is available on School Stream and is continually updated. This means that everything going on at St Anthony’s is available at the click of a button. Please check the School Stream calendar regularly.
